At Focus Calisthenics, our mission is to help you build strength, mobility, and confidencethrough mindful movement. Founded by Oliver Nelson, the business began offering classes in 2025 and continues to grow, grounded in the belief that your body is your foundation — and movement should serve you, not the other way around.
We combine functional bodyweight training with a strong emphasis on how you feel, not just how you perform. Whether you're showing up to move gently or ready to push your limits, each session meets you where you are. With colour-coded sessions, adaptable coaching, and a supportive, yet energetic, ego-free environment, we make movement accessible, effective, and sustainable.
Focus Calisthenics isn’t just about getting stronger. It’s about moving with purpose and training with focus, so you can live more comfortably — both inside and outside the workout.
Your Trainers
Oliver Nelson
Group Class Instructor
Oliver has always lived an active lifestyle, but flexibility didn’t come naturally. It was through years of Tae Kwon-Do and dedicated stretching that he built the flexibility he once lacked. Later, he discovered calisthenics; a method of training that allowed him to continue building strength while maintaining and improving flexibility and mobility.
As a Level 2 Gym Instructor, a black belt in ITF Tae Kwon-Do with nearly a decade of experience, and the founder of Focus Calisthenics, Oliver brings both knowledge and passion to every session. With him, you're in good hands.
Ready to move with purpose - train with focus.
Emma Talbot
Group Class Instructor
Emma has also been very active. Having been a professional dancer she has always been interested in how we move and how it can change how we feel and our outlook on life.
Emma has been practicing yoga for over a dacade and it has changed her life. Sharing this discovery is a passion and continues to be revealing at every turn.
Taking time to slow down, breathe and notice how our body responds is a practice accessible for all whatever your age or experience level.
Tanya Laing
